Seperti yang dinyatakan sebelum ini, Presiden Donald Trump telah menandatangani perintah eksekutif pada <em>timbal balik<\/em> dasar perdagangan pada hari Khamis waktu tempatan.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan dasar ini, jika negara lain menaikkan tarif import mereka ke atas barangan Amerika, Trump akan bertindak balas dengan menaikkan tarif ke atas negara tersebut juga. Bagaimanapun, beliau menyatakan bahawa Setiausaha Perdagangan yang akan datang, Howard Lutnick, akan mengetuai kajian untuk menilai tarif yang sesuai. Berbanding penutupan hari Khamis, emas meningkat sebanyak $10.22 atau 102.2 pip, semakin hampir kepada paras tertinggi sepanjang masa iaitu $2,942 setiap auns troy yang dicapai Selasa lepas.<\/p>\n<p>Kelemahan dalam dolar AS telah memberi kesan positif kepada harga emas. Lebih-lebih lagi, ekonomi global masih penuh dengan ketidaktentuan, menyebabkan pelabur berpusu-pusu kepada emas. Tambahan pula, bank pusat terus mengumpul emas sebagai sebahagian daripada rizab asing mereka.
