In December 2022, the Bale Bandung District Court sentenced Doni Salmanan to four years in prison and fined him IDR 1 billion. This punishment was handed down after he was found guilty of fraud, violating the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (ITE), and money laundering.
However, in February 2023, the Bandung High Court increased his sentence to eight years in prison. In addition, Doni Salmanan was ordered to pay compensation to his victims as part of a ruling aimed at impoverishing financial crime perpetrators.
