In trading on Tuesday morning (September 16, 2025), both assets remain near these levels, suggesting that new records could be on the horizon.<\/p>\n<p>Gold\u2019s surge began after President Trump announced that the Federal Reserve would implement substantial rate cuts this week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I anticipate a major reduction in interest rates,&#8221; Trump stated, according to reports from Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p>The Fed is set to unveil its monetary policy on Thursday morning, with market participants expecting a cut of 25 basis points (0.25%). If substantial cuts occur as Trump indicated, it implies that the Fed might lower rates by at least 50 basis points (0.5%) this week.<\/p>\n<p>The Nasdaq index is also likely to benefit from a more aggressive rate cut by the Fed.
