The release of the US CPI data could potentially trigger significant movement as it may provide insight into the interest rate policies that will be adopted by the Federal Reserve.<\/p>\n<p>Gold continues to receive positive sentiment from policies enacted by US President Donald Trump, which increased import tariffs on steel and aluminum from various countries. Furthermore, the European Union retaliated by imposing tariffs on American products worth US$ 28.33 billion, effective from April.<\/p>\n<p>This situation enhances Gold&#8217;s appeal as a safe-haven asset. This rise may have occurred due to short covering after USDJPY touched its lowest level in five months yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The sentiment for the US dollar is generally negative due to the risks surrounding the economic slowdown in the United States. Thus, USDJPY may reverse if the US CPI data is lower than the forecast, which would open up larger possibilities for the Federal Reserve to consider cutting interest rates.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>Nasdaq<\/strong><br \/>The Nasdaq index rose at the early European trading session, reaching a daily high of 19,566.
